About Us
Squirrels Childcare started in 2013, as a home based Childcare provider with Owner and Company Director, Melissa Swain. Over the years the company has blossomed into what it is today, including two Day Nurseries, Wrap Around Care, Holiday Club and Training Provider. Our settings are warm, nurturing and family focused. We strive to provide the best care to very child in our settings, watching them grow and learn through real experiences and play. Throughout our team we have a wealth of knowledge and experience looking to welcome you and your little one into our family.
Seedlings 0-2 yrs
In Seedlings we provide care to our youngest squirrels in a home-based environment offering something different open 7.30am-5:30 pm all year round. The children enjoy not only exciting and stimulating activities but also go out on child led learning adventures. Visiting new places and experiencing new things. The children go out either by foot or in our transporter. We provide all snack and drinks excluding formula milk. At Squirrels we have a passion for working with children and families to maximise your child’s potential
Acorns 2-3 yrs
When your child is developmentally ready, around 2 years, we offer a move up to Acorns and then the Oak Room to support their exciting Squirrels journey, getting them ready for school. We offer 2, 3 and 4 year funded spaces and can offer wrap around care to accommodate you if you are looking for more than funded hours a week. We have lots of snacks to offer and of course milk and water should your child get hungry or run out. We have 16 places in the Acorns, ratio 1:4;the preschool Oak room has 24 spaces and a ratio of 1:8.
Oaks 3-4 yrs
